The 9th International Conference on Barkhausen Noise and Micromagnetic Testing

The ICBM conference - already 9th in the order since their start in 1998 - was succesfully organized by the Department of Material Science of the Technical University of Liberec with the support of PCS S.R.O Department of Analytical services, The Conference took place in the International Centre of Spiritual Rehabilitation in Hejnice, Czech Republic on June 27-30, 2011.

The ICBM9 Conference attracted almost 60 participants from Czech Republic and other countries in Europe, USA and India to discuss the Barkhausen Noise research results and applications. The 22 papers presented in the Conference dealed with present status and results of Barkhausen noise studies, introduced some new methods and applications for stress and fatique analysis and described some present practices of the effective use of Barkhausen noise in quality control and material studies. In addition news of the ongoing FVA project regarding Barkhausen noise and its training in Germany was heard. On the third day an interesting visit to Skoda factory and musem was offered to the participants on the way home.

The Conference participants enjoyed a very well organized conference, peaceful and beautiful venue and weather, nice concert in the church, great garden party, and interesting tour to the Skoda factory and museum, thanks to the organizer Department of Material Science of the Technical University of Liberec.
